STEERING AXIS INCLINATION (SAI) IS
A DESIGNED ALIGNMENT ANGLE

is checked with camber and caster to determine if a spindle or
axle is bent. |

Pin Inclination (KPI) is the inward tilt from vertical in degrees. |

Pin: The King Pin is checked for looseness as part of
the "worn parts inspection." If worn, nonrepeatable
alignment measurements can result. When greased, no movement
between the King Pin and Steering Knuckle should be detectable. |
